About this demo
A live demo trip built with TripSync — the Griswold family's August 6 – 21, 2027 trip across the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, and Italy.
What you're looking at
This is a live demo trip built with TripSync. All travelers and booking references are fictional — the Griswolds aren't real, and every confirmation number, ticket, loyalty account, and phone number on this site is invented. The itinerary, hotels, tours, and logistics are real-world plausible so you can see exactly what a finished TripSync trip site looks and feels like.
The Griswolds & Warner Bros.
The short version: the Griswolds aren't real — and they aren't ours.
The travelers portrayed on this demo trip — Clark, Ellen, Rusty, and Audrey Griswold, along with Cousins Eddie and Catherine Johnson — are characters from the National Lampoon's Vacation films © Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. They are referenced here as an affectionate parody: a family whose European vacation famously did not go this smoothly, finally given the trip site it should have had.
This demonstration is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., National Lampoon, or anyone involved in the films. No images, footage, dialogue, or other material from the films appears on this site; all artwork is original to this project, apart from the interface icons, which come from the open-source Lucide icon set (© Lucide contributors, ISC license). Every traveler detail is invented — phone numbers use the 555 exchange, email addresses use the reserved .example domain, and every confirmation number, ticket, and loyalty account is a fake generated in the matching format. No real family is depicted, and no real bookings exist.
What TripSync does
- Turns bookings into a trip site. Forward your confirmation emails and TripSync builds a private day-by-day guide — tonight's hotel, your tickets, directions, and emergency numbers, one tap away.
- Knows where you are in your trip. Before departure the home page is a showcase with a countdown; during the trip it opens straight to today; afterward it becomes a recap.
- Works with no signal. Install it to your home screen and the whole guide is cached — airplane mode included.
- Shares safely. Tiered views let family follow the full plan without seeing costs, while travelers see everything.
How it's built
Next.js 14 (App Router) + React 18 + TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS — navy #17324E, gold accents, Fraunces display type and Inter body type. Installable as a PWA with full offline caching, one-tap .ics calendar exports, and native maps links on every address.
